Entyvio
Entyvio (vedolizumab) is used to treat ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease. In these conditions, the body's immune system attacks healthy tissues in the gut, causing abdominal pain, blood in the stool, and diarrhea. Entyvio is a biologic medication that works to reduce these symptoms.

What to Expect During Your Infusion or Injection
Before your infusion or injection, it is important to drink plenty of water and come to your appointment hydrated. Additionally, you must alert us as soon as possible to any changes in your insurance to ensure that we are still an in-network provider for your therapy.
- Pure doesn’t believe in waiting rooms. You’ll be taken to your own private suite where you’ll check in and your nurse will take your vitals and complete a pre-assessment.
- To begin treatment, subcutaneous injections are inserted under the skin, or an IV line will be inserted into your arm or hand and the medication will be connected to the IV line. The nurse will monitor you carefully, especially the first few minutes, to watch for reactions or side effects and make sure you’re comfortable.
- When the treatment is complete, the nurse will apply a bandage. Your nurse will give you instructions on side effects to watch for and when to seek help. You may be asked to stay for a short observation period.
- You can resume normal activities, though you may feel tired or need to rest. Drink water and eat a light meal to help with fatigue or nausea.
